Wed/Thurs – *Students will receive their Vocabulary Charts for List 7. The definitions and a copy of this chart are listed under the tab for Vocab List 7. 1.Students will complete the “Anticipation Guide.” 3. Students will take notes from the “Nazi Propaganda” Powerpoint and complete the “Nazi Propaganda Assignment.”
Fri- Watch Oprah Winfrey's interview with Elie Weisel at Auschwitz and complete guided viewing questions.
Tuesday/Wednesday- 1. Students receive copy of "Tic-tac-toe Journal" assignment. Students must complete an essay paragraph for three of the topics on the page. This is homework for the unit. It will be due the first week of February. 2. Students begin reading, Night.
Thursday/Friday- 1. Students read chapters 1-2 of Night and complete a word splash for 4 new vocabulary words. For this assignment, students receive a piece of white paper. After folding the paper into 8 boxes, students write 4 unfamiliar words they encounter in the text. For each word they write the definition AND draw a picture.
